The compact 398cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that powered the original DR-Z400 became known for its performance, but also its robustness and reliability. One feature that helped enable it to develop this reputation was its dry sump lubrication system, which helped give greater levels of ground clearance.
With a punchy, new engine, agile chassis, and state-of-the-art electronics, built for precision and endless fun, the all-new DR-Z4SM lets you conquer the streets and the circuit, and turns your world into your playground.

SUPERMOTO PERFORMANCE
Suzuki has redesigned the engine for 2025, ensuring it hits all of its required legislation targets without sacrificing reliability and performance, making sure it produces an abundance of torque across its operating range and delivering a smooth, linear throttle response.
ALL-NEW FRAME
A new twin-spar frame is designed to provide stability and instil confidence, making the DR-Z4SM an effective tool on the city streets and supermoto tracks. The steel frame is rigid-yet-supple, to absorb impact and reduce rider fatigue.
LIGHTWEIGHT ALUMINIUM SUBFRAME AND SWINGARM
The new DR-Z4SM features a separate lightweight aluminium subframe which is strong to support the rider, and the lightweight aluminium swingarm helps improve tracking and rear suspension response, contributing to a smooth and comfortable ride.
STRONG STOPPING POWER
Front and rear disc brakes provide sure and stable stopping power, with a compact and lightweight ABS unit. Single disc is 310mm in diameter on the front and 240mm on the rear, while axial-mounted calipers provide performance and resistance to vibrations when riding over rough terrain.
